What is Ashtanga Yoga?
Ashtanga is a dynamic system of movement that focuses on connecting the breath with our bodies. We do our best to practice 6 days a week to truly harness the power of this practice.

What is Mysore?
Mysore is the traditional way of teaching Ashtanga Yoga. It is a self practice technique.
If you are unsure of the system, it’s perfect. A teacher is there to teach it to you and you build on the asana sequence day by day. Everyone works wthin their own breathing and rhythm capabilities. We grow slowly to ensure you have sustainable practice for life.

Is practice 2 and a half hours long???
No. in a Mysore setting you come whenever you can. Just come at least 1 hour before we close. So don’t worry, it IS NOT a 2 and half hour class. lol
-
Can I start as a beginner?
Absolutely. In fact it may be the best way as essentially Mysore is one on one. You will be given all the cues and help you need to start from whatever your level is at.

What do I need?
Just a mat and your beautiful self.
-
Why don't you drink water in class?
Great question. Mostly it is a distraction. People will drink water in the poses they don’t enjoy. It takes us out of our focus and moving meditation. So if possible, come hydrated and you will see you may not need that drink.

How often should i practice?
If you can, follow the system of 6 days a week and rest on the Moon days. Your practice doesn’t have to be intense everyday, but following the method is where you will truly see the power of this practice. I am happy to send you morning wake up texts if you enjoy sleeping in!lol
